The work Berliner Tänzer deals with the internal constraints and rules contemporary dance is subjected to and what makes it increasingly accessible only for an internal audience.

With a personal biography of movements and via interviews with Berliners named 'Tänzer', Lina Lindheimer seeks for elementary connections between dance and everyday life to find new starting points for her work with movement and dance.

Lina Lindheimer finished her dance education with Waltraud Luley in Frankfurt/Main and studied contemporary dance at Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, in Arnhem, Netherlands. Since 2001 she works as freelance dancer with choreographers like Lonneke van Leth, Myriam Gourfink, Martin Nachbar, Mart Kangro and Christina Ciupke, as well as performer with Herman van Veen.
Berliner Tänzer is her first own choreographic work, that was shown at CONTEXT #1-Festivals at HAU (Hebbel am Ufer) at Berliner Zimmer. In August 2004 Berliner Tänzer has been shown at PACT Zollverein, Essen.
